The irreversible humidity indicator is designed to monitor ambient humidity or humidity inside packaging. When the humidity level exceeds the set limit, the indicator displays a permanent visual signal, revealing the maximum humidity level reached. This allows for quick detection of unwanted exposure to humidity and ensures the quality of sensitive products.

Two formats of irreversible humidity indicators are available: 50-90% RH irreversible humidity indicators and 50-90% RH + 10-100% RH reversible irreversible humidity indicators.

These indicators are used for industrial packaging, logistics, electronic products, pharmaceuticals, optics and any application where humidity could compromise product integrity.

The Irreversible Moisture Indicator changes colour according to the relative humidity of the product.

The irreversible humidity indicators are composed of a rigid white absorbent paper, saturated with various salt solutions and coloured in different areas. They allow to identify the level of humidity that the product has reached and to draw conclusions about the products that are more sensitive to humidity.

The sectors that currently make the most use of irreversible moisture indicators are electronics, optical instruments, export packaging and bulk materials, military (complies with TL, MIL, AFNOR specifications), aeronautics and pharmaceuticals.

Moisture indicator available in 2 options:

  • Irreversible humidity indicator 50-90 % RH: Indicates the maximum Relative Humidity reached in a closed container or enclosure.
  • Irreversible humidity indicator 50-90 % RH + reversible humidity indicator 10-100 % RH: Indicates on the one hand the maximum Relative Humidity reached in a closed container or enclosure and on the other hand the current Relative Humidity of the closed container or enclosure.
