The Artsorb Cassette is a high-performance humidity stabilizer, made with silica gel, ideal for keeping relative humidity (RH) stable between 65% and 75%. Its compact design makes it the perfect solution for humidity control in museums, display cases, and storage spaces dedicated to the preservation of delicate objects such as artworks, documents, and antiques.

Available Artsorb Cassette formats:

  • ARTSORB Cassette 400 g: ideal for stabilizing relative humidity in small display cases. Recommended usage: 2 to 6 units per 1 m³ of volume.

  • ARTSORB Cassette 750 g: recommended for stabilizing relative humidity in larger display cases. Required usage: 1 to 3 units per 1 m³.

Each Artsorb Cassette is delivered pre-conditioned and ready for immediate use. These humidity stabilizers are convenient, easy to handle, and simple to replace or recondition.

Thanks to the slow decomposition of the silica gel contained in Artsorb Cassette, the relative humidity conditioning value may gradually shift toward higher levels while maintaining the same weight. This change is typically around 1% RH per year.

To ensure precise and stable humidity control, it is recommended to periodically check the conditioning level of each Artsorb Cassette using a high-precision hygrometer, especially after several years of continuous use.

For lower humidity conditioning, the use of ProSorb cassettes is recommended, as they provide better absorption capacity, are free of lithium chloride, and are exceptionally effective within the 30–60% RH range.
