Tecnan Blue 200 ml Cold Bluing Spray is a nanoceramic protective product for firearms that provides a cold bluing effect, formulated to create a hard, durable ceramic layer on metal surfaces. It is aimed at repairing and protecting components exposed to oxidation, corrosion and weathering, offering a long-lasting anti-corrosion barrier.
Its technology is based on a dispersion of high-hardness ceramic nanoparticles that increase scratch resistance and stability against oils, solvents and UV radiation.
It is applied by bluing spray (aerosol) or with a spray gun/airbrush, curing at room temperature with the option to accelerate in an oven to reduce service times.

Anti-corrosion protection and cold bluing finish for firearm metal parts
The Tecnan Blue cold bluing spray solves a common need in firearm maintenance: protecting exposed metal (from use, handling, ambient humidity or aggressive agents) without resorting to complex thermal processes. Its nanoceramic coating acts as a functional barrier, delivering a cold bluing-style finish and a direct improvement in surface resistance.
The product is designed to work on metals commonly used in armory (steel, aluminium, stainless steel and alloys), facilitating restoration of worn areas and preventive protection of critical components. As a single-component formulation, it simplifies preparation and minimizes mixing errors, allowing domestic or professional application with finish control achieved through uniform passes.
Applications of Tecnan Blue in firearm bluing and maintenance
- Protective coating on metal parts: barrel, slide, frame, cylinder and exposed elements.
- Repair of areas with worn finish, with the possibility of localized reapplication for maintenance.
- Preventive protection against corrosion and weathering in humid environments or during prolonged storage.
Key features for bluing firearms with a bluing spray
- Anti-corrosion barrier against external agents, reducing metal deterioration in service and storage.
- High surface hardness to improve scratch resistance during use and handling.
- Compatibility with application by aerosol or compressed-air spray gun/airbrush, facilitating uniformity and finish control.
- Cold curing (room temperature) with an option to accelerate by heating for workshops requiring shorter turnaround times.
- Resistance to oils and common firearm cleaning solvents, and good stability against UV radiation.
- Finishes and colours available for aesthetic and functional adjustment (matte, satin, metallic and clear, among others).
Preparation and cleaning recommendations before coating firearms
- Disassemble the firearm and work only on the metal parts to be treated, ensuring a clean, dry surface.
- Completely remove dirt, rust or corrosion (mechanically if appropriate) and degrease before applying the coating.
- Apply in uniform passes avoiding excess to reduce the risk of runs and improve finish regularity.

Nozzle cleaning (after use): Clean the aerosol nozzle by pressing the actuator upside down until only gas is released.
Reapplication / repair possibility: The protective coating can be reapplied and damaged areas repaired without removing previous coating residues; if necessary, it can be removed by light surface polishing.
Recommendation in case of excess product: If there is any excess, remove the product immediately with a dry cloth and a solvent such as acetone or isopropanol.
Safety recommendations (application): Irritant. Apply using a filtering mask for protection against gases and particles. Use in a well-ventilated area. - Storage temperature
