Permanent Dissipative ESD Bags are the solution to having no expiry date dissipative bags

The permanent dissipative ESD bags are manufactured from high quality permanent dissipative sheeting and ensure long lasting ESD protection. With no greasy effect, staining or contamination, they are ideal for applications where long term storage is essential, offering peace of mind and security to users. They will not scratch on contact with sensitive parts and are not suitable for the transportation of PCBs/components.

Dissipative antistatic bags are pink in color and are usually used in EPA (Electrostatic Protection Area) zones, common areas in the automotive sector with a Relative Humidity of 50% and a temperature of 23ºC (73ºF). This type of product dissipates electrostatic charges, minimizing the risk of rapid discharge. The purpose of this type of dissipative ESD bags is to protect products from the creation of electrostatic charges.

The permanent bags are of better quality than the standard ones as they have no shelf life, their properties allow to protect the creation of charges permanently.

Within the category of Dissipative bags, we could separate them into 3 types:

  • Standard: These are the most economical, with a limited lifespan in their properties of protection against electrostatic charges thanks to their surface additive. This is the standard type within the EPA zone. The most common thicknesses are 50-60 microns.
  • Permanent: A better product than the previous one as it does not lose its protective properties against electrostatic charges.
  • With recycled material: The PE with which it is manufactured comes from a percentage of recycled material
